How do we accelerate the journeys of social entrepreneurs?

Creating lasting social impact is essential for the survival and success of social ventures. Yet, because of their focus on social impact, social ventures are challenging to scale and likely to experience mission drift.

Sheffield Social Enterprise Accelerator: From South Korea to South Yorkshire was a week-long evidence-based, flexible, and tailored learning programme for 17 social entrepreneurs from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Designed and delivered in partnership with University of Sheffield Enterprise, UnLtd, TechNorth, and KeyFund, this programme included evidence-based master classes, one-to-one mentoring, and action and peer learning opportunities. The programme was designed to boost the businesses of the social entrepreneurs, ensuring that their social impact was sustainable through sound economic business models.
